The optics on the telescope are really good. You can make out the planets very easily. The software makes it easier to find stars and take pictures. It is very simple to use. The sky align makes it idiot proof because you just have to to point it to any 3 bright objects in the heavens that you see. If you have a beginner to moderate skill level astronomer then this telescope maybefor you. However if you are more advanced then perhaps find a more powerful telescope that gives a better picture with more detail and color. You can find information about Advanced Celestron telescope reviews here.

The NexStar 4SE is an ideal telescope for observing and photographing the wonders of space. With a total weight of 21 lbs including the tripod, the ultra portable 4 SE features a precision optical system with 1,325 mm focal length (f/13) and is the first Maksutov system to ever feature our premium StarBright XLT coatings.

The 4 SE has a camera that remotely takes a number of timed exposures with a digital SLR camera.

The 4″ optics on this is superb and the overall package is well worth the money. It is great for looking at planetary objects and deep sky.

Features

  • 4″ Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope
  • StarPointer finderscope to help with alignment and accurately locating objects
  • Internal flip mirror for convenient viewing straight through (with optional diagonal) or at 90 degrees
  • Sturdy computerized altazimuth mount
  • Nearly 40,000 object database with 200 user-definable objects and expanded information on over 200 objects

For the price range, it is very well made and sturdy. Most of the components are metal which seems to leave them rigid and durable. A rigid telescope makes them sturdy and shake free. It’s 40,000 object database gives many things that can be looked at for many years.

To sum up, the new NexStar SE Family combines unprecedented ease of use with advanced features and incredible value. Buyer’s remorse not included.

The Celectron Telescope 4se is highly recommended.
