Barcelona has seven beaches, with Sant Sebastia and Barceloneta the oldest and most famous beaches. Barceloneta has been called the best urban beach in the world, and the third overall best beach.
Barcelona’s plentiful parks may be one of the largest attractions of the sprawling city. Barcelona has many excellent green spaces, which fall under a wide variety of themes and attractions. You can visit botanical parks, focusing mainly on specialized types of plants and wildlife, or you may opt to visit one of the 12 historical parks in Barcelona. Others may prefer to visit the forests, which you can do in one of the many forest-based parks. The largest park in Barcelona is Montjuic, which is on the Montjuic mountain.
