When you are traveling, you have a lot of different types of options for buying a camera. You can buy a small digital camera (point and click) or a big professional SLR camera. People like to think that bigger is better but this is not really the case. You can take good pictures with a small camera. I use a small point and click camera. I still take great photos.
Point and Click Cameras have a number of advantages:
- they are small
- They can fit into your pocket
- They are cheaper
- They are less likely to get stolen
- You don’t need to buy any extra equipment
SLR Cameras have a lot of things:
- They take a lot of pictures
- You can get wide angle shots
- You can get very far distance shots
- You take very large and high pixel quality photos
Both of these cameras have their advantages but SLRs are really expensive and they require a lot more space. Additionally, people always need additional lenses and that takes up a lot of room. These cameras are targets for thieves. Plus, they are really expensive
If you are a professional photographer and want to play around with lights and lenses and all that sutff, sure get an SLR. It will be worth it. However, for the average photographer, a simple point and click digital camera will do. You’ll save space, you’ll save money, and your pictures will look just as good!
